Art Brut acoustic

I’m not one to be all smug about knowing of bands before most people do, but.. oh, who am I kidding? I love being smug. Which means it gives me great pleasure in how right I was about Art Brut. I first heard Formed A Band thanks to 6Music all the way back sometime rather early in 2004. It was awesome enough for me to seek out CDs (it was damned hard even finding the single) straight away, and I’ve kept up with them ever since, with them managing to be one of only three established bands that I’ve seen live (Weezer and Remy Zero if you’re wondering). You can find a full report of this excitement on my other blog.
Anyways, it’s always exciting to find new and crazy versions of songs you already know, so when I heard about an Art Brut acoustic set, my curiosity was sufficiently piqued. Apparently this was recorded in October 2005 for a French Radio station called Planet Claire, which has a website worth visiting solely because it’s the most baffling and horrific thing you’ll ever see. The set consisted solely of Eddie Argos and Jasper ‘I’m not Chris Chinchilla but good god I’m trying’ Future, leaving us with very stripped down, but still highly entertaining versions of the songs.
