Human TelevisionI have no idea where I first found Human Television. I first got hold of an mp3 of one of their songs a couple of years ago. I don’t know where this would have come from given this was a time when I thought I had obscure taste in music by listening to Pinkerton repeatedly. I pretty much ignored this poor little mp3 until sometime last year when I finally grabbed me enough to seek out their debut EP, ‘All Songs Written By’, which quickly became one of my favourite purchases of the year. I looked around the web for more songs, found nothing, their official website having not been updated for months. I was starting to think the world would only ever see one release.

Thankfully though, I was wrong. Being an avid reader of mp3 blogs (since I was shown them a few months ago anyway), I eventually stumbled across a new song from them. I Laughed turned out to be typical Human Television, the unique guitar sound remaining along with the duelling vocals that made the first EP so perfect. I wish I could be more technical about all of this, but I’m not that analytical with music. I just know when my ears have found something they like, and Human Television make my ears very happy.

Buy it at Insound!Their new album, ‘Look At Who You’re Talking To’ will be released on 2 May. It’s also probably my most anticipated new album right now. Which will also probably lead to the inevitable disappointment that usually follows, but I get to be excited right now at least.

In site news, you may be noticing that I keep adding new blogs to the links list over on the right. It started off small as, if I’m honest, I simply didn’t realise how many awesome blogs are out there. Now that I’m exploring further and further I’m finding so many great sites. There’s a ton of others too, I’m only including the ones that I’m now regularly reading. There’s no great point to all of this, just make sure you check some (or all) of them out. There’s some fantastic stuff out there.
