Thanks for the post & the tunes – I went to college in Minnesota in the late 80′s/early 90′s & saw these guys a number of times. Good memories, esp since as you said you can’t find much on the Internets about them

GREAT POST ABOUT A TRULY LEGENDARY AND UNIQUE BAND. I BASICALLY AGREE WITH YOUR ACESSMENTS FOR EACH RELEASE, THOUGH I DO LOVE VOLT THE COVERS MINI A LOT. AFTER THE BAND DISSOLVED MATT BECAME THE DRUMMER WITH THE EXCELLENT POLARA BEFORE GOING SOLO(A DRUMMER LIKE ME IN THE END.) THE BAND REPRESSED THE PROMO ONLY LIVE EP THAT CAME OUT ON A&M ORIGINALLY AND THAT CAN NOW BE BOUGHT FROM THE SEMISONIC WEBSITE. THE EUROPEAN VERSION OF ACROSS THE UNIVERSE HAS A TRACK DIFFERENT TO THE US VERSION. AND THERE IS A VYNIL ONLY B-SIDE FROM THIS TIME. AS I MENTIONED BEFORE TRIP SHAKESPEARE HAD A TRUCKLOAD OF SONGS THEY ONLY PERFORMED LIVE AND WHICH NEVER APPEARED ON THE RECORDS. iF YOU EVER DECIDE TO DO ANOTHER POST ON THIS WONDERFUL BAND AND NEED ACCESS TO SUCH TRACKS THEN DROP ME A LINE.
