Jeremy Warmsley – 5 Verses

Jeremy Warmsley

Oh what a difference time can make. It was the best part of three years ago that I first heard . This song (albeit in demo form) was actually the first one I ever heard. It didn’t really go down very well with me. I didn’t have anything against it, but something about his voice just put me off. So what’s changed now? I don’t know. The song hasn’t really, beyond being slightly more crisply produced. Which puts the change at my feet, even if I can’t explain it. It sounds good to me now though, and that’s the main thing.

I thought you first heard his music in my car- as I remember it was on one of our random trips between lectures to whistable (4 yrs)???? stop stealing my music damn it!!!!

He hadn’t recorded anything four years ago.

But no, it wouldn’t have been that long ago, and I certainly didn’t first hear him via you. I know I’ve heard him in your car in a number of times since, but not the first time I’m afraid. I can pinpoint exactly when that was.

    And stealing? Really?

Ed, are you stealing Hiren’s music again? For shame…

  • Enough with the stealing already. But on a more serious note, I loved the demo of 5 verses! I am gutted that the ‘great hard drive wipe of 2006′ laid me bereft of such a wondrous track. Listening to the album version is just not the same.

I think I may still have an mp3 of it on my backup hard drive Saam. I’ll have a look later, and send it over to you if I have.
