Hari and Aino are a pop band from Sweden. What more do you need to know?

Yet another band with a deceptive name. You’d think with a name like Hari and Aino, there would be two of them. But no, there appears to be five. It’s funny how these preconceptions play into the music itself. I was quite surprised when I put this song on and it sounded incredibly rich for a two person band.

Hari and Aino make lovely indiepop, with cheerful music interludes and vocal harmonies left, right and centre. They are of course a Swedish pop band, which should be your mark of quality right there. Either Sweden can only produce superb pop bands, or only the good ones make it overseas. I’d like to think it’s the former but suspect that it’s probably the latter.
