The Poison Control Center – Being Gone
There’s something delightfully out of date about The Poison Control Center. I don’t mean that in a bad way. Hell, given how far in the past this blog tends to live, I really couldn’t. I just mean there’s something very mid-90s to Being Gone. The song evokes the slacker rock kind of sound that was once all the rage, but it’s the video that puts it over the top for me. Clearly made on an absolute shoestring, they’ve still managed to turn out something very entertaining. And whimsical, which you don’t seem to see as much of these days. Too many miserable bastards looking wistfully into the lens these days. Not The Poison Control Center though. Just good fun from start to finish.
